Texas Instrument L293D Datasheet, Application and Mounting Instructions

Texas Instrument L293D Datasheet, Application and Mounting Instructions - The L293 and/or L293D are types of a Quad Half H-Bridge Driver IC.
The L293D Datasheet features such Separate Input-Logic Supply, Internal ESD Protection, High-Noise-Immunity Inputs, Similar function to SGS L293 and SGS L293D, Thermal Shutdown and etc.
It is recommended to operate in the parameters: supply voltage= 4.5-7 V for Vcc1 and Vcc1-36 V for Vcc2, VIH=2.3-7 V, VIL= -0.3 – 1.5 V, and Up to 70 C for its operating free-air temperature.
All inputs are TTL compatible. Each output is a complete totem-pole drive circuit, with a Darlington transistor sink and a pseudo- Darlington source.
When an enable input is high, the associated drivers are enabled, and their outputs are active and in phase with their inputs.
When the enable input is low, those drivers are disabled, and their outputs are off and in the high-impedance state.
The L293D is converting low voltage, low current logic signals to high voltage, high current signals which is mainly used to directly drive a motor application, relay, dc, and solenoid.
